Becas designs and develops the State of the Art Smart Parking Solution (SPS) that combines the latest wireless sensor technology (LoraWan, NB-IoT) and BeORBIT cloud technology. Becas Smart Parking Sensors have two implementation forms: In-Ground and Surface Mount.
Becas SPS is the answer for every parking problem in busy cities.
In-Ground Smart Parking Sensors
Becas Smart Parking in-ground sensors support the two most popular wireless connection technologies such as LoraWan and NB-IoT.
The sensor can detect any vehicle parking on top of it or leaving it with an accuracy of up to 99.7%. The sensor battery can last up to 7 years, working temperature from -40 C to +85 C, humidity from 0 to 100%.
The sensor can withstand a load of up to 5000Kg per wheel.
The sensor signal can travel up to 15Km or 5Km in a density city.
The sensor measures 120mm in diameter, 68mm in height and very easy to be installed in the ground as no calibration needed.
More than 10,000 of our sensors had been installed worldwide.
LoraWan vs Cellular -Wireless Sensors Connectivity
Becas Smart Parking Sensors can be connected to BeOrbit cloud in a number of different wireless technologies such as LoraWan, NB-IoT, and CAT-M1 (LTE-M).
Each of the wireless networks has Pros and Cons.
While the LoraWan wireless network is a bit more costly, several gateways need to be installed between 5 – 10 km from where the sensors are installed.
The other network such as NB-IoT or LTE-M is cellular-based and simpler to install, but It requires the service availability of telecom providers in those areas and the annual connection and service fee per sensor.
Integrated Smart Parking Solution
Becas Smart Parking (BSP) is a state-of-the-art IoT (Internet Of Things) parking solution that allows parking lot owners, homeowners, car park owners to turn empty spaces into revenue. The way the BSP system works is simple. Each parking bay installed a wireless vehicle sensor. When a vehicle is parking or leaving the parking bay, the sensor will send the changed signal to Becas IoT cloud network BeOrbit.
BeOrbit Server in turn broadcast the smart parking messages to other Becas devices like Becas Edge Servers, IoT Controllers, and Council Ranger’s Mobile Tablet Devices.
On Street Parking Meters and Pay Stations
Becas designs and manufactures Parking Meters and Pay Stations in Australia.
Each Parking Meter or Pay Station hosts a powerful Linux-based PC controller, EFTPOS Payment Terminal, and touchscreen HMI (Human Machine Interface). Solar Power and Battery are optional.
The parking meters connect to Becas IoT cloud network BeOrbit using either 5G or Lorawan Gateway connection.
The commuters can enter the parking bay ID or License Plate Number to pay a parking fee by cashless only option.
Becas parking meters and pay stations are cashless and ticketless.
Commuters can request their copies of receipts by scanning the QR code or Barcode displayed on the pay station screen right after the payment is made.
Find and Pay Parking App
Becas Find Parking App (IOS/Android) connects to Becas Cloud Service to update the number of parking bays available of all the streets in the interest areas and display on the screen in real time. After finding parking, Driver can make payment for parking from the App.
Vehicle Counters & Wayfinding Variable Message Signs (VMS)
Becas launched a compact stand-alone Parking Guidance System (PGS) that uses wireless vehicle detectors installed at entrance and exit gates and wayfinding VMS signs at the entrance gate to display the number of parking bays available at each parking zone.
The wireless vehicle detectors work as a counter everytime a vehicle passes to it.
The Becas Edge Controller (BEC) is a local server that receives uplink data from all vehicle detectors at each parking zone. BEC displays the number of available parking spaces on the VMS signs.
The PGS system can work as a stand-alone system or connect to the BeOrbit cloud service to broadcast the parking status data to mobile phone apps.
